We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in our office in Norway (Oslo area preferred).

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing existing customer relationships and create new ones
  • Selling the company’s computer solutions and products to customers in the Nordics, primarily Norway
  • Translating specific customer needs into unique embedded computer solutions that will become essential part of our customers’ demanding systems

We’re looking for a high-impact profile who can:

  • Proactively identify opportunities and convert leads from “Interested” to “Design Wins”
  • Act on own initiative, make things happen and accept responsibility for own results.
  • Build a valuable network of contacts and relationships and utilize this to achieve set goals.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial dialogue and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing
  • Translate demanding customer needs into high-value customized embedded computer solutions.
  • Act as a strong team player and contribute to creating a good working environment within the local department and the company.

Key Responsibilities (on your own, and together with local colleagues):

  • Maintain and improve existing and potential customer relationships to ensure that Blue Line consistently meet requirements and expectations.
  • Develop, submit, and manage quotations – technically, contractually, and commercially – involving all necessary activities needed from prospect to contract.
  • Follow up enquiries and successfully negotiate contracts directly with customers.
  • Present our solutions convincingly to decision-makers at all levels
  • Maintain comprehensive customer and enquiry records and collate market intelligence and share internally.
  • Represent Blue Line at key trade events and industry relevant conferences/seminars.
  • Contribute to Blue Line’s overall strategy and business development.

The ideal candidate for the role has:

  • A strong commercial mindset, great analytical skills, possess good structure and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with good understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  • A higher education degree is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered a qualification.
  • Knowledge of the embedded computing industry in markets like Defence and Marine and knowledge of AI/GPU technologies will be a significant plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels and take part in cross-functional projects and task forces.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Norwegian and English.
